Information we collect and how we use it

We may collect the following types of information:

Information you provide - When you sign up for any services hosted on this website, we may ask you for personal information. Personal information is information that you provide to us which personally identifies you, such as your name, email address or billing information, or other data which can be reasonably linked to such information by Bitwise Data. We may combine the information you submit with information from other Bitwise Data services or third parties in order to provide you with a better experience and to improve the quality of our services. For certain services, we may give you the opportunity to opt out of combining such information.

Cookies - When you visit Bitwise Data, we send one or more cookies to your computer or other device. A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer or other device when you visit a website. When you visit the website again, the cookie allows that site to recognize your browser. Cookies may store user preferences or other information. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some website features or services may not function properly without cookies. We use cookies to improve the quality of our service, including storing user preferences, improving site performance, and tracking user trends.

Log information - When you access Bitwise Data via a browser or other device, our servers automatically record certain information. These logs may include information such as your web request, your interaction with a service, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your account. Every computer connected to the Internet is assigned a unique number known as an Internet Protocol (IP) address. Since these numbers are usually assigned in country-based blocks, an IP address can often be used to identify the country from which a computer is connecting to the Internet.

Third party applications - Bitwise Data may make available third party applications within its own web-based applications. The information collected by Bitwise Data when you utilize a third party application is processed under this Privacy Policy. Information collected by the third party application provider is governed by their privacy policies.

Unique application number - Certain services include a unique application number that is not associated with your account or you. This number may be sent to Bitwise Data when you enable, disable, or utilize these services.

Other sites - This Privacy Policy applies to Bitwise Data websites only. We do not exercise control over the sites displayed as search results, sites that include Bitwise Data applications, products or services, or links from within our services. These other sites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information from you.

In addition to the above, we may use the information we collect to provide, maintain, protect and improve our services and develop new services and to protect the rights or property of Bitwise Data or our users. If we use this information in a manner different than the purpose for which it was collected, we will ask for your consent prior to such use.
